SWC (Security Wonks Community), formerly known as Security Wonks, and called as Security Nerds (prior to that) was founded in 2001 with the mission to foster communication of security professionals on a regional basis all over the globe. After all initial experiences with different Free & Commercial Shared Web Hosting Providers, in the early 2003, SecurityWonks.org, SecurityWonks.net, & WonkSearch.com domains were registered representing different Divisions of the Community like Security, Open Source Support & Search Engine. Taken over by Varma Security Systems (VSS) at the end of 2003, more infrastructure was provided and New Domains were registered to represent Dedicated Linux Promotion Division of SWC i.e. LinuxWonks.com, LinuxWonks.org, LinuxWonks.net all pointing to the same website and since then, SWC is slowly growing as one united Supportive Community in Security & all related fields.

SecurityWonks.net, the Software Development Division of Security Wonks Community (SWC) is a growing Free & Open Source software development web site, providing free hosting to various Free Softwares & Open Source Projects.

LinuxWonks.com, the Specialised Linux Support Division of Security Wonks Community (SWC) is a site which focuses on latest trends and developments in Linux and presents up-to-date information on best practices and about different ways of effective implementation of Linux in their Business Implementations and have it's concentration to get Linux as Everyone's piece of cake in their choicest flavours. Users are availed with Robust Community Forums & Chat Rooms for effective P2P discussions & debates that will really help to get a better outcome in the mission and in accomplishing the goals of this site.

SecurityWonks.org, the Core Security Division of Security Wonks Community (SWC), known as Malware Research Coordination Center (MRCC) is an effort to foster Communication between Security Professionals across the globe. Especially, we like to have this more like an Underground Research Lab and as a Research Platform to support and facilitate with a suitable working environment for security professionals to come together and make team efforts in bringing Challenging Security Products out of the process, with more flexible licensing methods, to make those products of research well in the reach of user public helping them to secure their systems in a much comfortable way.

WE like to see MRCC (SecurityWonks.org) as a LEVEL2 Site (where mainly Helper - Helper Interaction occurs), while we are happy to promote all LEVEL 1 Site Network (i.e. User - Helper Interaction Sites like Subratam.org, SFDC, Spyware Beware, Spywareinfo, TomCoyote, CastleCops, Wilders, Calender of Updates, VitalSecurity, BleepingComputer etc etc all ASAP Sites) directly on our LEVEL 2 Site i.e. Helper - Helper Interaction Site (SecurityWonks.org) by giving weblinks of all sites on the SecurityWonks.org website and "adding a note of Instruction" for Users (Malware Victims who come on site) to proceed moving there to their chociest site (in the Level 1 Site Network) for help in removing malwares from their systems.

While, we like to see more Helpers & Security Advisors (from different Level 1 Sites) come in this Coalition Efforts to make this a more effective Countermeasure from the side of Security Professionals on Malware Authoring Community.

This concept & formation of MRCC is just a starting and much More going to come, we can add all that needed and let us Do TeamWork in this journey for a More Secure World....

WonkSearch.com, the Official Search Engine of Security Wonks Community (SWC). is in its coding phases and will be online soon while the Open Source Search Directory is available in place. The launch date of the Search Engine will be announced soon after it will be ready.
